New ideas for Music Video - Projection

This image has inspired us because we like the way jay-z is standing in front of the USA flag, we would like to incorporate this into our video involving the British flag or the the Bangladesh flag as the song is about a Bangladesh kid.  §

This is an image of rain and shows sadness . We would like to add this image in the video because the song has some deep lyrics so this image will bring a sense of  depression and sadness.

These two images above are pictures of drugs and a gun, in part of the song there is line where it says ' in a environment of guns and drugs' we can incorporate these images to that scene and make it more creative that way.

We cut this image out of ' Kanye west - all of the lights', in one of the scenes Sam is catching the bus so we can cut a little bit off this image out and make it look like she is looking at the bus time table.

Rihanna ft calvin harris - we found love

We had a discussion about this music video and we found that it has many shots but they are all very short, only a couple of seconds long each. It keeps jumping into different scenes, its a non linear video because it doesn't go in the right sequence, its all over the place.

 it starts with a clip of some estate flats making an image of where they live.

Greenscreen- what is chroma key?

Chroma key compositing is a technique for layering two images together. A color range in the top layer is made transparent, revealing another image behind. The chroma keying technique is commonly used in video production and post-production. This technique is also referred to as color keying, color-separation overlay (CSO; primarily by the BBC^[2]), greenscreen, and bluescreen. It is commonly used for weather forecast broadcasts, wherein the news presenter appears to be standing in front of a large map during live television newscasts, but in a television studio it is actually a large blue or green background. The meteorologist stands in front of a bluescreen, and then different weather maps are added on those parts in the image where the color is blue. If the meteorologist wears blue clothes, his clothes will be replaced with the background video. This also works for greenscreens, since blue and green are considered the colors least like skin tone.^[3] This technique is also used in the entertainment industry, for example for special effects. Software is available today, such as Pinnacle Studio, which makes it possible and relatively easy for the average home computer user, to create videos using the Chromakey function and greenscreeens.

0-15 Music intro: This will be the start, which, every item of cloth is being shoot close. Extreme Close. 

 After 2 Seconds verse begins: “Ok” The Cap then is put on. Face is then raised so that the audience can see that a female is playing the part.

18-45:the scene, which she leaves her house to get to the bus stop. She is walking in a masculine manner in order to show that females can also do what men can do.

48-1.07 The chores start. Sam Walking towards the bus. Making some little choreographic moves.

PAUSE- male comes and greets the man actor. This then changes position.

Hinting that Shuab is the singer.  While Sam reaches to greet the boy the position changes and conversation in-between both the males.

1.18-1.26 – From the verse “ who cares about a Bangali kid” this will be within the studio. The verse “ Brothers” Will snap to a shoot, which a group of females dressed masculine behind the studio booth cheering on the rapper. 

1.27-1.45 – This will pan back to the bus scene, which then will carry on till the chores. 
1.45- 2.05 - This would be the chores of the music video.
2.05-2.43_ This is the last verse which would be shot in the studio booth. 
The verse which the voice dims into the music, that would be also with the studio.
2.43- the End _ this would be the chores this is the bit which the people switch. As shuab becomes the main actor.

today iv worked out what i am going to be doing as part of the group and i have researched different camera types and i have also looked at a couple of narrative videos to talk about them later.

Camera Shots

There are different types of camera shots, starting from the main one which is the master shot. The master shot is the first shot and it show the whole environment that your in. The next shot is the medium shot which is getting closer and more intimate. Then we have the close up which is showing the person.

these are the basic types of shots:

Establishing Shot
The establishing shot is an extremely long which shows the whole scene and environment.

Medium close-up

A medium close up is a picture that shows half the body and does not show any space to move around.

long shot


A long shot shows the whole object and gives space for it to move around.

Extreme close-up

An extreme close up shows the object in person and gives no space for it to move around.

Medium shot

A medium shot is where it shows half the body and shows room to move around too

Close up

A close up is where it shows the person.
